Our Approach

Climbing is a practice with endless opportunities for self discovery. Good Stone exists to help climbers experience more of their true potential by cultivating strength, skill, and awareness.

This is a practice.  And a good one at that.

If you’re climbing with any consistency at all, you’re already practicing.  You’ve already discovered the simple joy of moving on the wall.  You’ve also likely encountered challenges that require adaptation. Cultivating a practice oriented mindset is the key to unlocking your true potential.

We believe a climbing practice should be:

Personal.  Everyone comes to climbing from a different place and pursues the craft for different reasons.  Goals are as diverse as bodies.  Why do you climb?  Your reason should drive your time climbing, training, and dreaming.

Growth Focused.  Success is sweet.  Growth is nourishing.  Of course, it feels good to top out and send routes, but facing and learning from the challenges faced along the way is the real opportunity to feed ourselves.

Fun. We all have good days and bad days, but our experience on the whole should create positive energy in the rest of our lives. If it’s not creating more joy, then what’s the point?

If you’re interested in digging deeper, getting stronger, honing your skills, and seeing what else you can find in your climbing practice, we’d love the opportunity to explore with you.
